Spring/Summer 2018 Trend Report

Spring/Summer 2018 Trend Report

This season, we have taken inspiration from the concept of “future-nature” for our Spring/Summer collection. The new range combines fabrics with technical properties with natural fibres and finishes to create a collection which balances the clean lines of futurism with the organic feel of the natural world. Water repellent, crease resistant and bi-stretch materials sit alongside summer tweeds, printed cottons and merino wool knitwear in an interesting and forward looking range. Elsewhere lightweight seersucker, melange fabrics and stretch jersey make an appearance for the summer as the demand for comfort continues to take centre stage for menswear in 2018.

Remus Uomo is famous for its serious attention to the detail which is demonstrated this season through its futuristic details such as coated zips, mesh linings and rubberised features such as buttons and studs. Subtle pinstripe makes a welcome return to the suiting collection with irregular geometrics, camouflage and florals showing across tailoring, knits and shirting – sometimes combining to bring out the future-nature trend story.

Core colours of stone grey and rich navy are accented by touches of mauve through the collection. Interest is added with bold pops of colour on accents and trims with royal blue, olive green and powder blue drawing the eye.

The ongoing influence of the sports-luxe movement has been refined and refracted through the tech-fabric trend to create this interesting take on modern menswear.
